Originally opened in 1914 as The National. After decades as a grindhouse and adult movie venue, the theater was closed in 2000 only to lay dormant for several years. Known for its sloped floor, proscenium archway, and gothic-inspired ceiling, the Regent is a true relic and the last remaining historic movie theater on Downtown’s Main Street. The theatre has been restored to its former glory. Improvements include an updated interiors, second-story mezzanine for killer viewing, as well as a pizzeria, and bar.

Since 1998 The Smell has been a community oriented art and music space open to people of all ages who are interested in participating in and supporting an environment of creativity and artistic innovation and freedom.  Throughout its more than 10 year history, The Smell has been dedicated to the principle of D.I.Y. as a completely not-for-profit and volunteer run venue.

The Lexington is a relatively new venue in downtown Los Angeles. The walls are covered with chalk writing from patrons and contain beautiful murals painted by local LA artist Kevin Hernandez.
